About Me

I first took up photography in my teens, but only since finishing my first degree has the interest really taken off. I shoot a wide variety of subjects, from theatre to landscapes, but recently my focus has been on events and people. Wedding photography is the perfect marriage of these, requiring not only technical knowledge but also 'soft' skills. I aim to produce great photos while remaining a positive, non-intrusive presence on the day.

Though I have no plans to pursue photography as a full-time career, 2009 saw it become a increasing sideline. Photography remains something I do for pleasure, aiming only for a small part-time business to pay for the expensive habit of purchasing new equipment! Shooting only a few weddings in a year means it remains thoroughly enjoyable, something that hopefully reflects in my photos.

I'm currently studying for a PhD at Bristol University, following an undergraduate degree from Cambridge. Outside of work and photography, interests include sport, scuba diving and a somewhat serious obsession with amateur theatre.
